In Britain they are white for the front ones and yellow for the rear.

Re: European Plates - 02-25-2006, 02:43 PM

I have seen many many MANY cars rolling around on the streets of Southern California w/ Euro plates. ON several occasions I've seen BMW(whos owners participated in the Euro delivery program) w/ euro del. plates on them. Other times I've seen cars that look like they have been imported from Eur. into the states and have state plates over the euro ones.

On another note, I've heard that once you have euro plates on they can't be taken off? May be a stupid question, but what do I know living in the U.S.?

plate area. N/A version is smaller to fit the plate.

In certain states no, we nearly got a $500 dollar fine for having a European plate on the front of our car. Florida should not be a problem though since they don't require any plates in the front.

I have no problem with the looks of either the US or the EU size. What bothers me a bit though is that the molding of the cars are different to accommodate the respective plates. So, if I want to bring a car from the US to Finland I am thinking that I might have to go thru some expense modifying the car. That's no good...

Maybe not - it looks to me like it would only require the changing of one panel - I'm sure it would be relatively simple and inexpensive to do.
