135i chasing Cayman S at Mosport International Raceway

My 2 friends and I attended the 6th Gear track day at Mosport earlier this week. Weather was perfect (ie no rain!!!). Had a great assortment of cars there.......2 Gallardo's, 2 Ferrari 360's, lots of old and new 911's (multiple 997 GT3's, and even a brand new 997 GT2), Boxter S, 2 AMG's (CL63 and E63), at least 2 Mini's, E46 M3, multiple Corvette's, 2 Mustang's (Shelby GT, and a Saleen), and a whole bunch of dedicated track/race cars.

The constant heel+toe and shifting for five 30-40 minute continous sessions throughout the day sure took a toll on my legs.......it was so much easier in my C55 AMG when I didn't have to shift....

The 3 of us had a nice session where we caught each other on camera........trying to keep up with my friend in the white Cayman S (somewhat unsucessfully). He is just too fast.....I lose time from him on almost every corner, and I can barely keep up with him on the straights......of course my other friend in his red E30 M3 gets in the damn way in between.....LOL You will also see this superfast Boxter S just flying. Here is a 10 minute clip:

And here is a much higher quality video from my friend's HD cam in the Cayman S, from HIS point of view (which overlaps with the latter half of my video):

I really had no chance in keeping up with him, as he is more experienced than me, and he had R-compound tires on too.

You weren't that far behind.
It looks like with some proper motivation you would have kept up.
Stop making excuses of why you couldn't win, and next time just kick his ass.

Go get yourself a set of r-tyres and you guys should be pretty much evenly matched. You don't seem like an unexperienced driver.
