I've never even considered Porsche a "Luxury" car. It has always been a sports car IMO. Best luxury would be Mercedes-Benz IMO.

BTW....How is Porsche going to buy out VW? Never knew Porsche even had that much money.

Latest news is that they will merge, because Porsche can't buy them and needs fresh money.

The power is now on VW side (new company will be based in Wolfsburg not Stuttgart), because even with 51% Porsche can't decide everything (the Land of Niedersachsen has a veto right). And they desperately need money, the money of VW.

Without it Porsche can't pay the interests of its debt, let alone the capital itself.

Porsche managed to get access to some Gov money, which is said to have prevented them from brankrupcy (9 billions € debts). It won't last though.

In the end, VW could appear as the winner in that operation, and Porsche the looser.

Wiedeking is very likely to loose its job once the merge is concluded.
