I wouldn't count on that. The S-Class has always been notorious for how cleanly it runs. It has won many awards for that. Just my .02.

Doubtful considering the X6 still consumes 1.3L more then the ML in this test. So I wouldn't hold my breath for the 7er.

In German Autobild there was a test between S500 and new 750i. Result: 750i used less fuel than S500. So I wouldnt hold my breath for the Benz either Not bad for a car with a more powerful engine.
