Posted October 7th, 2008

Summary:

It's rare when we can compile a list of new supercars from just one show, so Paris is giving us a rare opportunity to play tastemaker.

When it comes to order, we could have mixed the top spots differently. This is especially true considering most haven't yet reached any measurable specification. Thus we are left to judge styling, emotion and nostalgia alone.

Here are the top 10 supercars from the Paris Motor Show, and yes, we are surprised there were no Bugattis at the show.

5) 2008 Audi RS6 Sedan:

Re: SuperCars.net: Top Ten from Paris

the aston looks way too much like a DB9/ Vanquish. Beginning to doubt what all the hype is about.

There is definitely a "look of the times" happening -- inspired by organics at a very scientific level.

Citroën for me too

The Citroen was great

So was the Peugeot I wish they'd actually consider producing it. If they brought it to the U.S. I'm sure it'd be an instant success, and propel Peugeot to "elite, luxury car" status overnight.

But, then again, hard feelings and bad memories might still linger from the U.S. Peugeot's of some decades ago

Re: SuperCars.net: Top Ten from Paris

^^ I take it back. There's a considerable amount of badge-prejudice in the world. If that Peugeot had four rings on the grill, it'd be an immediate success; if it had the Peugeot lion, it'd fall stillborn into the showrooms.
