I agree. There is a rough way of gathering info like this though. It`s called members-profiles but some profiles here are not that complete. but you can make a rough estimation on profiles though.

Well, I'd say that vast majority of the profiles don't contain any additional information so a survey based on this method is bound to be flawed.

The best accurate info you could have about a site is by doing a whois wich is not always intersting. Here is one for gcz: Germancarzone.com - German Car Zone
