Jalopnik Question of the day: How far is too far?

Whether it's the Bentley GTZ Zagato or the Bugatti Veyron FBG par Ridonkulous, Geneva has become a reminder that excess isn't in short supply these days. When do we go from autos that push the line, like the Brabus Bullit Black Arrow, to crossing the line, like the Fab Design Benzes? Is it the paint? Is it the body kit? Is it everyone's need to use 16 kinds of leather? We're not fond of jewels.
And if you want to deny the premise, as many of you are want to do, may we remind of you of the Snakeskin Porsche Cayenne. Where's that line?

Re: Jalopnik Question of the day: How far is too far?

There is a line between good and bad taste, and actually it's very clear where that line is...But sadly some people who work in automotive/tuning industry don't know where this line is and they often go waaay too far.

For example ASMA Design and Mansory...

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the CL before hand. It's just unbelievable that someone thought to themselves "I think it'll look better if I do..."
