How high can you go?

I saw a discussion on a website the other day that devolved into people taking cars and seeing how high above their base price they could get them. I was seeing $60,000 Mini Coopers and $40,000 Honda Accords. $80,000 Porsche Boxters and $55,000 1-series. So, let's see what people can do. How ridiculous can you get the prices of "normal" cars.

Re: How high can you go?

I love to play with the configurators of the brands...

...but I was shocked when I configurate an Audi A8 4.2 TDI with a basic price of 96.000 € - after putting everything into it (including a full leather interior for about 20.000 €) the price was nearly 190.000 €!!

Re: How high can you go?

Mercedes-Benz is my favourite in this respect. An A150 with a base price of €22,350 goes up to €42,100 with all options checked... I mean, you can add options worth €10 grand on a €14,000 VW Polo too, but still...
