Brands, Brands and More Brands... - 12-19-2007, 04:06 AM

This is the all-brand thread. From favorites to despised to everything in between. If you're up in the air about how you feel about a certain brand you can list that brand on multiple lists.

Tier 1. First catergory, your 5 favorite brands. These are the ones that you'd have if you had a 5 car garage and you had a blank check to get a car from 5 different brands. These are the ones that you MUST have. My list:

1. Mercedes-Benz
2. Ferrari
3. Audi
4. Aston-Martin
5. Lamborghini

Tier 2. The next category are brands that you like or admire, but they aren't quite your "favorite", but you can still see yourself purchasing something from them over your driving lifetime. These are the ones that make at least one of your favorite vehicles sold today, but not just anything from their lineup will do. My list:

1. BMW
2. Jaguar
3. Porsche
4. Bentley
5. Maybach

Tier 3. Next up are the brands that make at least 1 almost standout product you like and/or would buy, but not too much else in their product range interests you. My list:

1. Lexus
2. Cadillac
3. Volvo
4. Infinti
5. Land Rover

Tier 4. Next are the brands that you really don't care for one way or another, but they have something you can at least live with if forced. My list:

1. Mazda
2. Nissan
3. Ford
4. Saturn
5. Saab

Tier 5. Lastly the brands you'd rather walk than drive one of their products. No hope here for these to grace your garage with anything from their current lineup. My list:

1. Kia
2. Buick
3. Mercury
4. Toyota
5. Hyundai

Tierless - Brands I couldn't find the proper Tier for:

Honda
Chrysler
Mitsubishi
Subaru
Lincoln
Acura

Really struggled with these last two:

Maserati
VW
