Top Gear’s Awards for 2005: Bugatti Veyron Is “Best Car”

Our pal Punkey zapped us the results of TopGear’s awards for 2005, including runners-up. As most watchers figured, the Bugatti Veyron won for Best Car, beating the Jalopnik pick — the Ferrari F430 — and the BMW M5, which we won’t get to drive until January (knock on wood). The Ferrari also lost to the Aston Martin V8 Vantage in the Best Noise category. Man, we really have to get across the pond more often. Click through for more results.

I can't believe they voted the 3er as the "Ugliest Car"... then again, it's Top Gear, can't expect anything less. The other winner are very accpetable though.

I wouldn't say the 3 series is the ugliest car, but definetly not a very good design if you ask me.... It also could be that they expect more from BMW, but the rear of the car is lousy, and the interior is as well.

One of the reasons I like Top Gear is that the guys always seem to do what they feel like doing, and largely ignore whatever the public may think.
(I do think the Rodius is uglier than the 3-series, though.)

Well the 3er is not my fav design.. but like i said in the other thread.. for gods sake its far from the uglyiest..

I think its all very funny stuff. I'd never take it too seroiusly, afterall(and has already been said) its someone else's opinion.

If 3 series is the ugliest for them then i wonder what they used to say about 7 series before the facelift.

This is one of the reasons I cant take them serious but the show is fun to watch. TIff alwyas like BMW so I like him better
