Not my cup of tea but I havent seen it IRL. Thanks for the photos, they look great and I know from personal experience taking photos from a carshow isnt easy because of the crowd and the lightning.

This forum is fantastic, and this year's motor show has something for everyone in here, so I figure out it will be a nice way to celebrate my 2 year membership. The shots turn out to be better than expected because my camera is old and it isn't very good at taking close up shots, and you need a very steady hand to get a clear photo. The Gran Turismo looks really good from most angles. The side view looks a bit flat in the photos but it is more sculpted in real life. The dead front on view isn't the best view to see the car, that is why I didn't take photos of it. The grill is too wide and because the car progressively widens towards the front guard, from the front view, the car looks like it has a big mouth and nothing else.

I was the few people who was there at the very start of the show, and leave at the very end of the show, so that I can have clear view of the cars and move around to have the best photo angle. No worries if you don't like the CS, I have heard a few negative comments from people walking around it.

The swollen front end didn't stop my friend's dad from ordering one. I have no idea when his dad will get the car though. The bonnet actually looks a little bigger in real life. I have a quote from the show. This girl in her early 20 pointed the IS-F to her friends and said "I like the tyre but I don't like the wheel". No I am not mistaken, and I gave her a strange look afterwards. I have a lot more photos to go go through, so this thread will go on for another day or 2, depending on the speed of my net.

I am practically impressed with these set of photos. The Evo X had its world debut in the Australian Motor Show, and it was 2nd on my "must see" list behind the BMW CS. They have 2 Evo X on display. The blue one is the basic spec, and the metallic one is the top range Evo X. I can't remember their specific model name. The Evo X doesn't look as aggressive and dramatic as I expected. The flared wheel arches do not look that obvious. The best view of the car is from the front 3/4 angle because you don't notice the rather tall nose and the long front overhang. The side profile view isn't as good because the car look imbalanced, The front end is simply too big and too "thick" compare to the rear end. I had a look at the under side of the back of the car, and I was disappointed to see the rear diffuser look alike trim has no functional purpose at all. However there are some interesting details on the car, gone are those spiky vortex generators, the rear wing has a raised middle section to better condition the air flow, and there are 2 ridge running along the sides of the roof (you will see it in the last photo). They are there to increase the rigidity of the aluminium roof ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is one of my favouriate shot from the show. ![]()
