S4 was suprisingly amazing. Very confortable and amazing, yet plush the pick up in speed, even reving out the gears and it still had a comfortable and controlling feel, no matter how tight the turn and no matter how fast you were going. It trully was a amazing car. I havent driven anything like that in a while. | | | | | Connoisseur

| The Aston Martin Vanquish Verdict. -
06-10-2007, 08:55 AM
Well here's pretty much the scoop. Nareisha (my girl) and I pulled up into the warehouse in NJ, and there was a rediculous amount of exotics, White LP640, the Red Murci, Some classic Ferraris, Porsche GT3, Ferrari F430, 2 Aston Martin Vanquish's, 2 Diablos, a raced out Z06, and many more. The car was actually a surprise for Nareisha not for me. When we pulled in she couldn't believe what she saw let alone when i said pick one its yours. She was in shock for about ten minutes.
The Aston Martin Vanquish IS here dream car. She picked out the exact one in the pic. I drove the car home (she was too scared to drive), and then once we got in the neighbors were coming over with cameras and it was a cool and funny scene in my driveway. She FINALLY got in the car and started driving around the country club and got comfortable with it, currently she has it at work, and im sure all her friends and co workers are drooling as we speak. Im sure she feels like a million bucks right now, which is pretty much why i got her the car, just wanted to see her smile, and too me thats worth everything.
As for the drive home!!!! YEE HAA!!!! Well it is a very comfortable car, plush, smooth, powerful and EXTREMLEY sexy! The Paddle shift was smooth unlike in the 360 i had driven. The pull is a little delayed per gear unless your over three thousand RPM's. Seems like thats how it should be in a car like this. Though its sporty and sleek it has class.
Its wide and EXTREMELY stable, even whipping in and out of lanes it never threw you around in the cabin, no matter how tight the turn and no matter how fast the speed. Reminded me of my CL55. I got it up too 130mph effortlessly in 4th, but she was getting nervous so i took it easy, after all it was for her and i didnt want her to feel uncomfortable.
Down shift is also very smooth and controlled, no roughness in gears.
Overall it is an incredible machine, and is what every powerful luxury coupe should be. You never felt like you were in a V12 sports cars with so much power, it always felt handlable and having a feeling of comfort in a car like this is everything you want.
I will take pics this afternoon when she comes from work and post them, please feel free to ask anything, i never wrote a review so if i missed something you guys were interested in let me know....
BTW--> The Exhaust sounds REDICULOUS!!!! Amazing powerful and brutal!
In regards to the Murci... The plan was to bring the Murci back Sunday evening and grab the Vanquish. Unfortunatley both Astons have to be shipped out Monday for a photo shoot, and the Murci had a new clutch installed and was not ready to be taken Saturday evening anyway. Regardless since the car was for her and the Vanquish was her dream car it all worked out. I'll just simply take the Murci another weekend upon Noah's convenience.
Noah is an amazing man! Courteous, and attentive and looking to please and make one happy. In his business relationship, repoir, and the art of bringing the best out of people is everything and he is a master of all. We couldnt have been happier and thats what matters. Thank you Noah! | | | | | The Following 8 Users Say Thank You to Alx For This Useful Post: | | | Executive

So Aston Martin has finally sorted the gearshif issue with the Vanquish, i remembered all the car journo and Clarkson were bitching about how rough the gearbox is. I agree with you, i heard a Vanquish idling outside the showroom and my god i cannot believe how awsome it sounds, do you think it sounds better than a F360 or a F430, i certainally think so.

Yep, no problem, with the shifting whatsoever.
As for sound, it was better than the 360 for sure. F430, well, a different animal entirely. But on the Vanquish, i'd preffer it over the sound of the 430. F430 exhaust belongs only to that car, there isnt another car i rather have that exhaust on.
