I agree with you all that JC can run his mouth a lot but he crossed the line when he reviewed the M6. He really did. Do you guys know what happened?
Long story short, Richard said the M6 will run 0-60 in 4.5 or something like that. JC said it is impossible because you have to press all these buttons to have max power and blah blah blah (usual b.itching about Idrive).
So Richard presses all the buttons that needs to be pressed (Power, EDC, SMG) but JC says he still has to go to Idrive and adjust everything.
Two things. Idrive is only to adjust what happens when you press the Mbutton. Second thing is that if you just press those 3 buttons that's that, it's done.

Instead, JC kind of lied to the audience imo which actually really pissed me off. He can at least try to learn how the thing works before testing it. Instead, he made it look more complicated than it should have been. If anything, I prefer watching Richard and James review the cars.

The other thing about Top Gear... what's up with all the beach races?! Why would you have a 911, Aston Martin and M6 race on a wet beach? Sure it's entertaining to watch, but what does that prove?

Oh and dont get me started on the NAV girl in his M5 review lol. LIVE WITH IT. THATS WHAT WE CALL TECHNOLOGY. not that its like the more sophisticated the better. but for me that contributes to part of the fun and driving experience. I drive, SMG, etc

Thank you, I thought I was the only one going insane about that. Too bad he spent over half of the thing dissing the technology and looks and then in the end he says it's Epic... why not start with that?
Top gear is definitely the most entertaining to watch though because it's a bigger budget than 5th gear.

It's really funny how hard they try to make a British car look good on that show... they didn't do laptimes on the Ascari because it was raining outside so they waited until it was dry.
I didn't see them do that for M3 CSL

It was mildly confusing because when you look at the Power Board, the Ariel Atom, which is British, is third on the ladder, yet they totally overlooked it.

Tiff is obviously a better driver (he was a professional racer after all) than Jeremy although JC has gotten much better since the show started. 5th Gear is kind of stale though and Top Gear is much more entertaining by far. If I wanted concrete info, I don't need to watch a TV show. The point of the show is that it's mostly entertaining.

As for comparing the track times between the two shows, both sound like crap. Top Gear runs cars in all different conditions, so times should be taken with a bushel of salt. I mean an RS4 being faster than a Gallardo? That's how you know it's bogus.

Thats more like a gocart though. They would rather have a real brit up there. You know they're brit biased when they compare a 300C to a X type R. Come on! At least compare an SRT 8. The X type R is like 13k more!!

dont forget they also changed the driver. it seems that the new Stig is faster and better than the old one.

No its not that, he wants to diss techology let him diss it. but not say the same thing for a million times, he already dissed Idrive before, so he actually wasted his and the viewers time saying what he said ages ago. Im just using common sense here.
