Plus, i'm paying as i've said cca 1000€ a month for a 530d and for the same money and less i can drive a brand new 535d, so...
Why 535d? After driving my 530d and having this:
with that single turbo 3.0d, guess what the 535d is capapble of... Fuel consumption is great, the performances and numbers pulled out from that engine speak for themselves and to be honest i'll never buy BMW with i badge. Modern diesel engines are equal or in some cases even better than gasoline. Why would i buy i.e. 545i with same equippment and almost identical acc., v-max and stuff, let alone the fuel consumption... for 20k more?!?! No way, no way!

“So much power and torque for a such a
low consumption. It’s incredible and better than a gasoline engine!”
Christophe Congrega, L’Automobile Magazine
This winner, BMW’s 3-litre in-line six, dubbed R6D, is the most powerful diesel engine in its class: the 2993cc has 272bhp at 4,400rpm, and a massive 560Nm at 2,000rpm, but still manages to record consumption figures of 8L/100km (35.3mpg). Such numbers won several votes and much praise, and not just from regions where diesels are popular: “Forced induction of a highly intelligent type,” commented American Dennis Simanaitis of Road & Track. In all, seven of the 15 North American judges awarded the diesel points.
Mohamed Sheta of Auto News Agency was just one of the impressed judges: “Driving on the German Autobahn, the amazing torque and smoothness of the engine makes you feel you are driving a high-output V8 gasoline engine.”
I don't need any more reasons...

Congrats Tycoon, I'm glad things are going well for you! Importantly, your dad's getting better and you've got a new kid, but this is just icing on top.
Sounds like a great car, and I second what you say about the diesels. For a largeish car that's not an all-out sportster, it's an excellent choice. A blue 5er with the M-Sport kit would be great; and I like the first (5-spoke) of the wheels you put - I haven't seen any yet, and I'm always keen on factory optional wheels that aren't common. I also happen not to really like the M5-lookalike wheels that come standard with the sport package.
Hope things continue to work out well! | | | | | Fanatic

Very nice indeed.
I disagree with the rims though. BMw has much better ones. | | | | | Devotee

Okay, but thats what i meant, rimjs that arent offered, but if he cant get an M5 like wheel by order, i would go aftermarket like ACS, or Hartage, Breyton.... | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
