the driver in the BMW is now captured. the reason why the BMW didnt stop was cause the driver didnt have a driverlicense. The speed was about 140-150km/h on gravel. The driver of the bimmer saw the policecar, the train and the crash. it was also him that called the police and ambulance after the crash. The driver of the bimmer doesn't feel good after the accident.

The red bimmer passed the train by seconds. The train noticed the policecar too late, he didnt even had time trying to slow down the train.

Even if he did notice them in time, stopping a train in a few meters will take an enormous amount of stopping power which no brakes in the world can perform (yet).
