Duke of York visits Bentley Motors.

Bentley Motors was pleased to welcome HRH Duke of York to the factory this morning in his capacity as Special Representative for UK Trade and Investment. The Duke toured the manufacturing facilities with Bentley's Chairman, Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen, and Production Director, Peter Nixon.

Before his tour, the Duke visited the company's museum and was introduced to the current model range. "We are delighted that the Duke chose to visit to Bentley Motors as part of his tour of Cheshire." Said Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen, "He was genuinely interested in our business, our people and the role we play in the automotive industry both in the United Kingdom and abroad."

The Duke's tour began in the woodshop moving through to the Continental GT and Flying Spur assembly line. After the tour, Production Director, Peter Nixon said, "He was very complimentary about the factory, the skills of our employees and, of course, our cars! It was a pleasure to meet and escort him around the factory this morning."

In the woodshop, the Duke took time out of the official tour to say hello to the excited team. Woodshop Associate, Mark Bartho was thrilled to meet the Duke, he said, " It was an unexpected treat and the Duke was very interested in everything we are doing."

After the tour, the Duke joined local business representatives and international trade advisers for lunch before leaving Bentley to continue his tour of Cheshire.
