wow i love the Phantom very much its how a RR should be especially from the outside, the inside of the car is fine, but compared to the exterior its nothing. anyways i love it. IMO this is the best RR ever.

I don't like the Phantom with two tone either. I thought it would look ok, but on second thoughts, especially from these photos with such a stark contrast (black/light silver), it doesn't really look cohesive. On the other hand, and not to make it into another argument, I think a two-tone Maybach is much better, even with starkly contrasting colours. A single colour Maybach looks as nice, too.

It does make the car look smaller though. The all-black finish looks very imposing and impressive. I quite like it.

Oh yeah and the wheels do look better on that special edition one, which I think are the 'first' standard wheels. The other ones are optional factory wheels, I believe.

I totally agree.... silver on black doesnt' look good at all. Just leave it with one color and it's fine. Mayback on the other looks better with 2 tone

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the two-tone colour scheme either Luwalira - but the two-tone silver combination works well I think.

Well I wouldn't go quite that far emarati - it's certainly technically better than any other RR - and certainly a better vehicle than the Silver Shadow, Silver Spirit, Spur, Seraph etc.. - but to compare it directly with the older Phantoms is to misunderstand what the Phantom used to represent. The new Phantom is a very different type of limousine to the old Phantoms. For a start, in the past, no Phantom owner drove themselves, it was a car designed with a chauffeur in mind, a cabin partition was standard equipment and unlike today's Phantom, all the past ones were 100% hand-made to order and could be completely re-designed (both externally and internally) to the customers personal desires - it took nearly two years to build a single Phantom VI (1968-1991) - the old Phantoms were also a lot more expensive than the contemporary one.

As much as Rolls-Royce would hate to admit it, the current Phantom is in reality a production-line vehicle - something that would have completely abhorred the craftsmen who hand-built the old Phantoms.

well i dont really like old cars, and i understand what ur aiming at the older phantoms where the special "exclusive" ones yes i agree. but this (espeically exterior wise) is the best IMO there not in anyway as special as the previous Phantoms, but thats just one thing and maybe the only thing i like about those Phantoms.
