I think a 750hp/760nm is really good for an engine that old

Is it the same engine the SL 73 AMG with his 525 hp had?!

Lol i dont think i got through the first time

Zonda F wich today is the ultimate zonda has these specs:

Maximum torque 760.0 Nm (561 ft·lb) (77.5 kgm)
@ 4000 rpm
bmep 1309.9 kPa (190 psi)
Specific torque 104.24 Nm/litre
Maximum rpm
Manufacturer Mercedes-Benz
Code M 120 7.3 AMG

And this new R version is supposed to have the SAME engine but upgraded..
It says its supposed to have 750hp wich is a 100hp jump from today
And it allready has 760Nm thats why i dont belive it will be less..
It should be more ..or atleast as much dont you think?

Re: Street legal race car: Pagani Zonda Cinque

^ Well like I said, 760 Nm is hugely impressive from 7.3 litres; typically when engines start to exceed 500cc - 600cc per cylinder they tend to be less efficient with their specific torque outputs per litre. That benchmark 100 Nm per litre becomes less and less easy to attain. So, I was quite impressed with 710 Nm and now you come along and enlighten me that a Zonda F has 760 Nm - wow - I'm impressed.

Re: Street legal race car: Pagani Zonda Cinque

Gents, nothing to add to what has already been said, but for old time's sake: "what an engine!". I first heard about this powerplant when Bin-Sulayem (sp?) sent his CLK-GTR back to AMG and told them it was too "slow". AMG responded by making a bright red CLK-GTR with 750hp from their 7.3L V12 engine. When you imagine that this engine has roots that are more than a decade old, you really start appreciating its astonishing output.

Aside from its power, what impresses me most is the torque rating, and the way it delivers its power. This isn't a screaming V12 that hails from Maranello or Munich, that needs to be revved, and revved hard to deliver. No. This is an engine that will remind you who owns your kidneys...

You could be right. I was just thinking about the normal Zonda F's and Clubsports torque rating of 760Nm and 780Nm respectively. To lose 70Nm is quite a bit.

Re: Street legal race car: Pagani Zonda Cinque

There are also other sites that say it's a 6.0L and not a 7.3L and spins at a much higher RPM.

Re: Street legal race car: Pagani Zonda Cinque

^please post those sites..
if so then its a whole diffrent story..
if they changed the displacement..then i would understand the drop in torque..
