Aston Martin Lagonda Limited is a British manufacturer of luxury sports cars founded in 1913 and based in Gaydon, Warwickshire. The company name is derived from the name of one of the company's founders, Lionel Martin, and from the Aston Hill speed hillclimb near Aston Clinton in Buckinghamshire.

Ferrari S.p.A. is based in Maranello, Italy. It was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929 as Scuderia Ferrari. The company sponsored drivers and manufactured race cars before moving into production of street-legal vehicles in 1947 as Ferrari S.p.A.. Throughout its history, the company has been noted for its continued participation in racing, especially in Formula One, where it has enjoyed great success. It is currently owned by Fiat S.p.A.

Jaguar Cars Ltd., better known as Jaguar is headquartered in Coventry, England. The company was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company by Sir William Lyons in 1922, originally making motorcycle sidecars before switching to passenger cars. It has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Indian company Tata Motors Ltd. since March 2008 and is operated as part of the Jaguar Land Rover business.

Cadillac is the oldest automobile manufacturer to originate in Detroit, Michigan. The company is named after the French explorer who founded the city. General Motors purchased Cadillac in 1909 and that same year Cadillac produced almost 6,000 vehicles. Over six million vehicles had been built by the end of the 1970s; Cadillac celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2002.

AM General Corp. was established by American Motors Co. (AMC) in 1971. In 1983 The U.S. government awarded them a contract to build its High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), or Humvee, for military use. In 1992 AM General introduced a civilian version of the HMMWV, the HUMMER. General Motors and AM General reached an agreement in December 1999, in which GM acquired exclusive ownership of the HUMMER brand name worldwide. In 2009 GM sold the HUMMER brand rights to China's Sichuan Tengzhong. AM General continues to own and build the original, military HMMWV.
