Someone help!!

I bought a sl500 thinking it was a 500sl with a with the amg body kit, wheels etc. I just had to replace a timing guide that broke and therefor replaced all of the timing components. When my mechanic went to install the new chain he realized the chain and guides were different from my old stuff. So he looked up the part numbers of the old stuff and it all came back as Amg parts, the parts we had did not fit. So later i looked up the vin # and it came back as a 93 500sl/Amg 500 6.0. From what i have gathered this is the so called sl60 or is it? Im loosing my mind, WHAT CAR DO I HAVE!!!!

Go to your nearest official Mercedes dealership and they will be able to obtain all the production details (as of the day it left the factory) of your car within minutes. It may require a more thorough search to ascertain the car's options and specifications.

Also, I'd find out to which dealership the car was ordered by and delivered to.

Ahha, it's okay. Have the car's VIN and the engine number and give it to a Mercedes dealership. I think the search will cost you. I don't know how much a Canadian dealer would charge for performing the search though.

Failing that, call Mercedes Benz Canada. They will be able to do the provenance search (at a fee, of course).
