![]() | I need help. We found a beautiful 1965 MB 190D on the side of the road for sale at $300. It is in wonderful shape physically. The problem we have is that there is no motor in the car. I want this as a project car badly and the ONLY way my husband will let me have it is if I can find a motor. I cannot find one. What is a compatible motor for this car or is there one? Someone told me to put a 305 in it but I don't think that would work. Please let me know soon! |

Happy wife = happy home. I think you could get plenty of motors to fit. Most likely the best fits would be 4 cylinders and I6. Just find one that either has little or no control modules. I wouldn't try and find one of the engines it came with, I would find a newer engine with more HP. Good luck. |
