Scanned these from one of my last MB Classic magazines where the S123 Estate was the main story. The article talks about how revolutionary this car was in making the station wagon popular in the luxury segment. The S123 was an especially popular and practical car for people of all occupations, be it family man, painter, art dealer etc. and how it could be used as a workhorse, family car etc. (I guess the photos in the scans will give you the idea...). Enjoy the scans. Not much to translate but the photography is cute.

The title of the story is "Faithful Companion": most '123 owners would agree. To me, this is still the best car Mercedes' has ever produced.

I owned one of theese back in the days,my second Benz,84 300td-turbodiesel.

Lucky man!

It was a though tank of a car,just sad all the rust killed it because the engine and drivetrain was in mint condition after just 570000tkm It dident matter if it was minus 20 in the winter,it always run and in my opinion it was one of the last real bulit "The Mercedes Way" cars.
