In a way I agree with you.. The W124 was an orignal. MB is all about fashion now. When I became an MB fan some time back I began to notice a lot of orignal ideas that the W124 was using, like the single front wiper-blade that covered 86% of the windshield. I began to wonder why MB left that idea with the later E-Class models.

My dad's '89 500SL (R129) has this. Come to think of it I drove the car about a week ago in a heavy rainstorm and I just couldn't help but feel that the single wiper at max speed was "underpowered / overworked".
