Unfortunitely, today my car was attacked once again by some human failure. I parked it outside the gym and when i came back, i saw a massive dent on the right rear passanger door. It is REALLY deep and VERY obvious. I am aboslutely pissed off. It is only a Subaru wagon, nothing exciting or expensive. Within 9 months of ownership it has been constantly damanged by wankers on the street, and i don't park it at the same spot or the same place, or even the same suburb everytime when i leave the car on the street.

So far someone has made a slight dent on the driver door, someone else cracked my side indicator lense on the side mirror, some imbreed scratched my front bumper and this latest genetic disaster has made a massive dent on my rear door.

The only way to prevent this is to never leave the car on the street, which is what we are doing with our Merc.

I know a car is a car but i think we car enthusiast alway look at cars differently from normal people. Has anyone tried to damage your cars? How, if possible do you avoid you car from being damaged?

man my S was always getting keyed or dented by stupd bastards..
but i cared very much for that car..and i was always tense when i left it..

now i have this C class..wich i dont care about in the same way.. i drive it like a fool..park it wherever.. and belive it or not.. nothing has happend to it..
besides it being keyed when it was brand new.. but that can be explained it was summer brand new benz..ppl just cant take it

so my theory is..do you keep your car very mentained and cleaned??
if so ppl notice it more.. and try to do stupid things..
like me S class was spotless..and my C is a spot....

i haven't wash my car for 3 months. It is pretty dirty, but it has been raining for a few days and i just leave it in the rain to be cleaned. The car is silver with stock standard 18inch shadow chrome wheels and dark tinting all round. It is a Subaru wagon, there are plenty of them around, nothing special. I chose this car over a VW Passat, a IS250, and a C class because it doesn't look anything special, and i was hoping it won't get attacked, but dam those people.

Even though "it's only a Subaru", it's a car, a means of transportation and something that means a lot too us. I'd be annoyed and angered too if this happened to me, no matter what car I'd be driving: be it a 1980s Ford Fiesta or a McLaren F1.

Haha close, it was after one of our rugby matches so a couple of the guys from the team were with me and the guy was a player from the other team, so... well yea you get the idea...

That sucks dude..I can not stand dents

Dents are what persuaded my father to park using two spaces and pretty much all of the time he parks as far as he can away from the entrance of a mall, theatre or whatever, usually right at the back of the parking lot, to avoid damage. It's worked for the last 15 years, I do it too
