I was talking with admin earlier today and he had mentioned his is dad is a huge car fan, and no surprise mine is as well.

I was just wondering how many people inherited the obession from your father or possibly mother? Maybe some of you from your brothers (sisters?!)

If one of your family members is a big car fan what vehicles interest them? What's they're favourite?

I developed a need for cars and appreciation for them all by myself. My father has always believed that cars get you from point A to point B. Nothing else. Nothing more. I, on the other hand, have taken car of cars--not to say that he hasn't--but for a time there I would wash my car and his car because of the appreciation I had for his BMW. Now he has an Audi but I did not stop because of it but rather because I grew out of it.

I got the gift for love of cars probably through my Mums Uncle & my Grandfather as I was given toy cars as a youngster.

Nowadays I'm the only Car fanatic in the family

I always loved cars when i was little, i played with them all of the time and with my dad buying vehicles frequently my love for cars began to evolve. He bought a Lexus ES300 back in 1995 (might have been 96, can't remember when i was 9 or 10), then changed to a LS400 and soon enough a SC400, i was hooked.

As for my dad, we've got the same tastes in vehicle, he really likes the Wiesmann, he really likes the Zonda but his favourite is the Carrera GT.

I should also mention my uncle is a big car fan too, not as much as me or my dad but as i told cawimmer430 he recently bought a ML320 CDi, he's also got an E500 4Matic.

Yes, I enjoy discussing cars with my father, brothers and cousin.

My dad likes cars but he doesn't really have an obsession with them. He kickstarted my interest with the lines of S-Classes he owned (3 generations of them up till the W220) - when I was young, I pestered him for a toy electric car, but he just wouldn't budge.

As I grew older I loved cars more and more, and today it's my greatest interest. My dad supports my interest by bringing me on periodical test drives on the latest cars. My old flame interest used to be aeroplanes before.

My sis and mum can never get cars.

In my family i 'm the only nut about cars but my younger brother (26 years old now) also likes VW/Audi when it comes to cars. He is now waiting for his Audi A3 Sportback to arrive.
