When I was in the Philippines, some friends and I visited an exotic island for three days and three nights and amongst others, enjoyed swimming near a shallow mini reef with some breed of baby sharks. We were told they were harmless so we did it. Most of the time they'd swim below you but sometimes they'd zip past you - but never in a hostile manor. They weren't large sharks either, about the size of your average tuna fish (not the tuna in the can

Nowadays, I'd never do something as stupid as that again. I was young and stupid...
