Toys For Rich Kids... - 11-17-2006, 02:53 AM

Toys for spoiled rich children.

Grand Victorian Mansion
$22,000

This Victorian house is straight out of a fairy tale. It includes a wraparound porch, a stained-glass window, window boxes, a skylight and a doorbell and brass door-knocker. The interior resembles a real house with sponge-painted walls, simulated hardwood floors, fireplace mantel and an upstairs loft accessed by ladder.
Product dimensions: 204" L x 108" W x 132" H
Playhouse colors: White, Lavender and Light Green

Scallywag Sloop Pirate Themed Club House
$18,499.99

Batten down the hatches! This oversized pirate playhouse brings the high seas straight to your suburban backyard. The base is made of an old, fallen tree with a hollowed-out opening that even a large adult can fit through. Each playhouse comes in two parts and includes a swing, fireman's pole and ship's wheel.
Product dimensions: 18' W x 10' D x 20' H
Recommended for all ages

The Genuine 7-foot Robby Robot
$49,999.99

This life-sized icon is a replica of Robby the Robot from the 1956 classic film "Forbidden Planet," which today's kids probably never heard of. But that doesn't take away from Robby's coolness: After all, Robby is a seven-foot-tall, remote-controlled robot. Oh, and he's pre-programmed to deliver lines from the movie. The sound can be connected to a home theater system, and you can project your own voice through a wireless microphone that's included.
Product dimensions: 84" H x 42" D
Product weight: 100 lbs.

Home Pro Racing Video Game Simulation System
$3,999.99 ($500 off)

The simulator's system, steering wheel and pedals come configured for your choice Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 or PC. The simulator is customizable for a monitor of up to 42" and includes a 10" subwoofer behind your seat, three front speakers and multiple rear speakers. "You'll have to feel it to believe it!" (TV and game console not included.)
Recommended for all ages.

Zoltar (Fortune Teller)
$8,999.95

This fortune teller provides 16 different spoken fortunes and dispenses 23 different printed fortunes. Insert a quarter and he nods his head up and down as his crystal ball illuminates. Just don't wish to be big, and you'll remain a kid forever.
Product dimensions: 77" H x 33" W x 28" D
Product weight: 225 lbs.
Recommended for all ages

Lego Life-Sized Batman
$27,000

This Caped Crusader can guard your child from all that lurks in the night. A statue stands 6'6" tall and is made of Lego bricks, with a yellow utility belt and heavy cape fabric. It comes in three parts to assemble.
Product dimensions: 24" L x 24" W x 78" H
Recommended for 6-year-olds and older

Junior Off Roader Gasoline-Powered Vehicle for Two
$32,350

Get an early start on teaching your kid how to drive a car with this gas-guzzling two-seater. Children can even tune into the radio with a fully functional removable tape deck, with speakers on both sides. The car shifts into three different modes and has adjustable leather seats.
Tires: 20 x 8.00 - 8
Fuel: Unleaded gasoline
Weight: 300/20 kg
Recommended for 7-year-olds to 12-year-olds

Massive Wilbur Piggybank
$6,000

Turn your child's room into a fiscal institution with this all-metal piggybank. Wilbur is made from 100 percent recycled aluminum and painted with nontoxic acrylic paint. Each comes with a brass medallion and announces Wilbur's favorite phrase: "Some pig!" This extra large pig can be extremely heavy if filled with coins, weighing up to 1,000 lbs.
Product dimensions: 60" L x 20" W x 29" H
Recommended for 17-year-olds and olde

Fantasy Coach
$47,000

This carriage promises to make your little princess's dreams come true. Handcrafted of wood and fiberglass, the oval-shaped interior measures just over 6 feet in diameter. Linens and interior options can be added upon request.
Product dimensions: 9'6" L x 5'6"W x 8'H

Tumble Outpost
$97,510

This giant playset includes a lookout tower with double rock-climbing walls, a fire pole and a small play area below. Kids can go on a great adventure over a swinging bridge and either go to the upper-level clubhouse or end up in the jailhouse below. Other play features include a rope-net ladder, an earthquake landing platform and a turbo-tube slide.
Product dimensions: 35.5' L x 28' W x 15' H

That makes it two of us.

BTW the other day I watched "my sweet 16" on MTV and despite the title of the show they showed a kid who was turning 15. The whol party had a price tag of 300 000 dollars. The big suprise came at the end of the show when he the gift from his parents was presented to him. What was the gift? An white S550 with AMG kit looking just like NevadaJacks S-class. The car was pretty loaded and cost 110 000 dollars. The Boy didn't even have a licence. Imagine what he is going to get on his 18th birthday.

With all due respect--this is ridiculous. I cannot believe that companies actually have the market analysis to be able to determine that actual rich families will buy this. This is not to say that it is inaccurate. This is to say that people are truly out there when it comes to money and what they can do with it next.

I saw a documentary on 20/20 about a whole entire business sector that is dedicated to the rich. Despite the fact that many of us may know about this sector, I was amazed at the things I saw. There is actual therapy for people who are so rich that they are stressed about it. Apparently what happens is that you take a guy from a trailer park that has a hit and a beat and he becomes famous from one day to the next. The spend so much money that they actually go crazy—to a certain extent. They don’t know what to do with all that $. So, they have the opportunity, or actually the luxury, to hire a business that will sit back and analyze there stress. Give them therapy, and organize them. WHAT?!! You are stressed because you are rich and you do not know what to do with that money?!?!

HA!

One of my friends in America, in college, sent me pictures of the rides of the two rich boys next door to him. A blue BMW M3 6-speed and a yellow C5 Corvette. Both of them were brothers and their father had just bought them these two manual-transmission equipped cars. The only problem? They didn't know to drive stick properly.

Who in their right mind buys their kids an M3 or a Corvette and tells them: "Junior, learn to drive a manual with this car." I bet you could buy a Hyundai Azera with the money you need to pay to replace an M3 transmission!

Oh yeah, their dad drove a Mercedes C32 AMG. Let me see if I can dig up the picture of the M3 and Corvette!

Holy crap that's EXACTLY what I want!

Now I wonder if the steering wheel gives force-feedback, and if not, if you could rig one up.

The reason I'm not so crazy about games like GT and the like is because a control pad or even a desktop wheel is no match for an arcade cabinet setup. If any of you spent time playing Sega's Ferrari F355 in the arcade you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Shoot - If I could get a setup like that at home it would seriously endanger my marriage. I'd never leave the house!

I'll have to admit. If I had kids, and lots of money to blow, I'd buy them two of these things and race them all day.

What a bunch of stupid stuff, especially that fortune teller and mansion. It's amazing what people will fork out for things like this.

Well, I think the Olsen twins got their own Range Rovers as their 18 year birthday present.
