I can't believe this! OJ Simpson, the legendary American football player acquitted of double murders in '95, is penning a book and getting a TV special. He supposedly got $3.5 million for his book. I thought no one would put him on American tele. He did do a special in Britain several years ago.

Will anyone watch it? I know everyone has their own opinion of him, but, honestly, how many of you here will watch his tele special?

What are your feelings over in the US concerning OJ? Is he still hated, do people over there still think he is guilty?

He should have disapeared as soon as he was aquitted, doing stuff like this to try and stay famous is rediculous. He has the nerve to write a book about how he "would have" killed his wife, ***? This man just wants money and fame, and he wont be able to keep any of it is the funny part.

Wait a minute....Has he actually written a book telling how he would have killed his wife?

I don't live in the USA, but most people there think he is guilty. Well, maybe I shouldn't say that. I saw a poll a few years ago that the percentage of African Americans that think he is guilty is far lower than the statistic for white Americans.

He claims he is mobbed by 'fans' everywhere he goes and he claims he has no shortage of interested blonde women. I actually believe that. I just can't believe he gets $3.5 mil and air time.

OJ has supposedly not paid any of his civil judgement, $33.5 million, awarded to the victims' families. If that is indeed true, he is quite a smart man to avoid paying a dime for all these years.

His publisher said (about the book), "hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed."

The tentative title for the special is "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened"

Why would he not be able to keep any of it? The families that won a civil case against him have not been able to get much (if any) money from him.

The book is titled "IF I DID IT."

So much hutzpah I can barely contain myself.

That's one very bold title- I hope MJ does follow his steps and writes a book of how he would have melested those kiddies he was accused of melesting.
The case was pretty clear and I too believe that he did commit the murders. Then again the system is flawed, the dude with the best laywer(s) wins the game.

He does not get to keep any money he makes , other than his NFL pension which is like 25K a month. Yes I believe most think he is guilty, as far as his book goes, he might as well call it How he did it because I dont believe they can do anything about it due that whole double jeopardy thing.

What makes me sick is that he is the care taker of his children and he is writing a book about how he did(would) kill their mother. Ridiculous. All for more fame.

I got in an argument with a ex-girlfriend of mine about this once. She was an ethically-challenged lawyer. She inisted that OJ was guily. However, he was acquitted of his crimes. The legal system is based on the premise that one is "innocent until proven guilty". If he was not proven guilty, is he not innocent by default? I think a lawyer ought to acknowledge that.

I agree with you, Luwalira, but what you said is true for everything. The dude with more money gets the better lawyer, doctor, nurse, plastic surgeon, personal trainer, etc. . .
