Compared to a Bugatti Veyron, this is relatively cheap, wouldn't you say?

And, it is funny to see how much more fuel is being burnt when you go from mach .8 to mach .87....you can fly more than 3000 km less at that speed it seems.

I guess that is true klier ....still, the Bugatti would be much easier to park.

John Travolta has the right idea. He has turned his house into an airport.

YEah, I saw that picture before. Pretty amazing to see, although I would never ever want to live on my own private airport. It's just so ugly to see that plane and all the asphalt when you look out of the window.....

I heard John is licenced to fly the Boeing 747-400. That's pretty amazing for a 'simple' actor!

I'd have believed it you know, Rob.

I used to like planes a lot but the immense amount of money needed to purchase them really sealed the fate of my interests in them... Still, I'd like to have a private flying license within the next two years.

Hmmm it's not that easy. Even if you had the money, you would have to be immensely certified especially if you want to fly cross borders and/or internationally. This is not an easy plane to fly like a cessna.

Even though there is a wait period, there are companies that offer time shares (I guess you can it that) in which you can simply purchase time on one of this babies and use it.

Either way, this is one fascinating plane!

Good stuff Rob

Trust me, I would love to have one of these. As a matter of fact, this is my dream as well!

What is so interesting about these planes is how high of an altitude they fly. They fly at 51,000 ft. That is pretty high. Not to much traffic up there.
