If someone asks to see your car - is it wrong to show it to them? Or would you just be rude and ignore them?

I would show my car to ANYONE who wants to see it, as long as it is not putting me in some sort of danger.

But if its a girl, than panties off first.

But it's true, most girls get upset if a man they are dating or their husband for that matter shows their car to the opposite sex. Where has the trust gone?

Personally I dont' see any problem with using your car as a penis extender. If a girl wanted to see my car I would probably show it to her.

Yeah, funny. I would probably try not to get into any situation that involves me showing my car to strangers, including buying sedate and unassuming cars.

Nevertheless, if asked, I probably would, though I second Alex on that part about not putting myself in danger. So, for the poll, I'd probably vote yes, though it really goes for either the opposite sex or the same sex. No big deal.

As for girls, well, I don't really care either way (not to mention my girl friend probably wouldn't appreciate it that much anyhow, but we'll leave that out of this hypothetical situation for now).

I would be much happier if any observer, male or female, had an interest in the car itself, rather than as some gauge of my monetary potential or something. Nevertheless, you can't expect everyone to be an expert. Either way, I'd just show them whatever I drive, if you don't like it, tough luck, get lost.. My would like to think that my sense of self worth, and worth to others, has little to do with what car I drive.

There are a lot of ifs here, but usually I don't have a problem showing someone my car if they ask, but usually I won't do it on my own. My car is nicer than most of the other students here, but I have enough problems with vandalism and disrespect/jealousy as it is. I'm not going to go out of my way to talk about my car or show it off unless requested, even then maybe not. I was uncomfortable enough with my friends raving about it to other people.

I already got a really bad dent on the roof part above the doors probably from vandalism, and my door got trashed by some inconsiderate person's passenger in the parking lot. There are two dents on my door with paint removed (can see metal) along with a long vertical scratch.

I hate people sometimes. If you aren't careful enough and it was an honest accident, then at least take responsibility for it. I suppose they figure if I have enough money for the car, then I have enough to fix it, but that's messed up. Even if the person didn't have the money to fix it for me, I'd rather they still told me about it apologetically than just say nothing; they could still maybe do me a favor or two (at the least) if they couldn't actually afford to pay or help pay for repair. If it was just someone being careless and/or on purpose, I hope they get what's coming to them. As much as I'd like to, I hope I never see the day I catch someone vandalizing my car in a severe way as I'd probably end up in handcuffs afterwards (I don't know if I'd be able to restrain myself).

The worst thing is that I have to live with this stuff for over a year now as it would be worse to fix them and then have it happen again. Some touch-up paint on the door will probably be the extent of it. I'll most likely wait until junior year living off-campus before I get the stuff taken care of. The human race never ceases to dissapoint me.

The other issue with my car is that the big spoiler more than anything has an immature connotation associated with it, which certainly does not really reflect me. Especially if it's someone I don't know very well, I wouldn't really want them judging me on what I drive rather than me, the person.

*Re-edit: When you say "show" do you just mean like let them look at the car or like go for a drive?

Otherwise I don't see anything negative about it. But most of the time girls aren't interested in the car itself, for them a nice car is a good proof that the guy has money. Which is what they are really after.
