Parking exotics - dealing with jealousy and envy! -

One of the things that really bothers me about going out with an expensive exotic is where to park it.
I have unfortunately seen what can happen to some cars when they park at public places. I don't mean parking in some shady dark street corner, I mean parking at major malls or even in front of some hotels.
Scratches, other cars opening their doors into to you and leaving small dents and so forth is extremely annoying. Sometimes I feel it isn't worth taking the risk of taking out the car. So what does that leave one with? It's not practical to drive them everyday to work, not able to drive when you have time due to heavy traffic and one worries about fining one's car in the same condition one leaves it in when one returns back to the car park.
I'm sure this is a problem most people face when they take out an exotic car. I know it's a concern to me and some of my friends who have expensive cars.
I would like to know how others deal with this problem?
My solution is that I only use it to places where I'm kind of sure of. I'm also very fussy about where I park. I mean I make sure to park next to cars that I feel have no children entering them. I also prefer parking next to other expensive cars as I feel they share a similar concern and less prone to envy and jealousy!

Usually i leave it on the hydrant and deal with the tickets. Otherwise i park in a secured lot, other than that there are no options, just leaving it int he streets.

I have given up on driving my cars unless I'm going somewhere and straight back (no parking) or I can watch it the whole time its parked. I took my lamborghini to a medium size shopping center and parked next to my wife's saab about 2/3 of the way towards the far reaches of the lot. I am hesitant to park really far away where there are no other cars, because I think that draws more attention when the car is easily visible to everyone. Anyway on the passenger side (I always park so if I do ever get a ding, it will be on the passenger door so I don't have to see it every time I get in to the car) on the lambo was a Toyota camry or something. About 90 minutes passed and when I went out to my car someone had spit on the passenger side window and door. I was just happy it was not keyed. I have lost a lot of faith in people because if you work hard and are able to get some of the finer things in life they get jealous and take it out on you.
