I read this new just now.. A woman named Francie Rehwald has decided to build a house from parts of a Boeing 747. Her goal is to make it femenine with curves and invoromental friendly..so she chose a 747 as materiall for her house.. The wings will be used as the roof..the nose as a meditation temple and the famous hunch will be used as a loft.. Here are some pics and the article ( in swedish).. The house will end up costing several million dollars.. but they say she has the cash..cause her family owns one of californias largest Mercedes Dealerships.. I think it will look as horrible as it sounds. I'd rather go for an aircraft-inspired look, rather than chopping up an actual 747 and making a house out of it. The plane is already going to have been used, and it's not going to look very sleek or new. Plus, they had better do a good job of tethering the wings - what if a sudden gust of wind happens along..? |
