I think what GM is doing is ridiculous. Why is GM parading a bunch of celebs around to sell their cars? How much did this struggling carmaker have to pay them? Of course, these idiots have been doing it for years by paying Tiger Woods close to $10 million per season to have Buick on his golf bag. These deals obviously haven't helped the company's overall profits so why continue spending millions? I'm surprised that the unions haven't caused a fracas over this. These detached celebs are being paid obscene amounts of money even as the company is being mentioned along with words like bankruptcy and slashing its workforce. Don't get me wrong, I think the unions are part of the reason for the American auto manufacturers' unsustainable cost structure, but I just thought they would take a bigger stand. Perhaps everyone is celebrity-obsessed!

GM has been all just marketing for years now. Too bad every enthuasiats can see right through them.
