Congratulations to Sweden! Finland had a good run up till today. The Russia win probably made them over-confident. But as is customary to say in sports: better team won. (Can you tell I'm PO'd? ).

Yes, congratulations to Sweden! Sweden should have won four years ago if not for Belarus! I'm Canadian, but I was against Canada the entire tournament. I don't know about you, Siko, but I thought Bertuzzi should never be allowed to wear the Canadian colours in international competition. It's fitting he was in the box for a stupid penalty when Ovechkin scored. I was listening to a sports show when some peeved off Canadian viewer phone in and said, "The Gambler gambled on Bertuzzi and lost!" How true that is!

I hope the disaster in hockey for Canada doesn't detract from the performance of its other athletes, the poor, dream-chasing Canadian amateur athletes who actually won a medal unlike the overpaid millionaire hockey pros.

On a related note, one of the medalists is donating all her bank account savings to charity. Call me cynical, but did her agent (if she has one) advise her to do that so she can earn a multiple of that back in endorsements?
