***Free Beer Drinking Convention (+ BABES)*** -
04-27-2008, 10:24 AM
I was in a Altenmarkt yesterday driving my dad to a beer drinking convention. Basically a handful of small local brewers showcased their products for everyone to try - for free. So naturally the place was packed with alcoholics.
Altenmarkt is famous for its little monastery on the hill top. Here she is (with alcoholics enjoying their beers in the foreground...).
Local beer stands...
What is an event without traditional music? All of these musicians have a beer at their feet!
Cheese & meat stands, all local products...
BEER GAMES! Whoever can hold their "Maß" the longest wins. If you loose strength and your Maß sinks deeper and deeper a balloon pops making a loud noise. It was fun to watch! People would cheat a bit by drinking from their mugs!
And here we have a 1937 Opel Blitz in RHD. It was originally made as a firetruck for Austria (which drove on the left at that time), survived the war and was restored. It belongs to the Bewery Wieser.
Later that day there was a little fashion show...
Local cuties. Way to young but they had pretty faces which means they'll grow up to be beautiful women - if they don't touch the beer!
And the best thing at this event were these two!
"Beer for the masses!"
The End
