| Terrible Car Accident In My Area: 2 Dead, 1 Critically Injured! -

There was a tragic accident near a small town called Polling, which is about 10 minutes away from where I live.
Two young men, 21 and 22 years old, were driving in a Porsche and for unexplained reasons came off its side of the road and crashed into a Renault Laguna with a 29 year old woman onboard. Both the Porsche occupants were dead on the spot and the Renault driver is in serious life threatening condition in the hospital (the airbag saved her life according to the article).
And here's the killer (which I heard from some locals today): the two men driving the Porsche, it was not even their car. They borrowed the car from a friend. Now this friend is in deep sh*t with the insurance because the insurance will not pay for the accident because he was not driving the car. Even worse, if the woman in the Renault dies, he'll be even deeper in sh*t.
This is one reason why I would never lend my car to anyone. They mess up, cause an accident and you're the one who ends up in big trouble! | | | | | GCZ's High Court

The scary part is that I use that road a lot when I drive around that area. That Renault Laguna driver could have been me! | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to cawimmer430 For This Useful Post: | | | GCZ's High Court

You can see guys that even though the Porsche is heavily damage, the Laguna isn't that match deformed. I guess the speed (probably of the Porsche) must have been very high!
And Christian, i think that the Laguna has 5 stars in the EuroNCAP tests, while your E has 4? I'm not so sure about the second though...
PS. Today must be the day... In my way home after work, i saw a terrible accident. It must have been around 9pm. Involved an A3 and an old Scoda, which was pretty much damaged... | | | | | Enthusiast

It doesn't appear from the picture that the Porsche's airbags deployed. Perhaps because it was hit from the side???
You know, I have thought about getting a smaller more economical car for the future, but I don't think I can put my life in front of better fuel mileage. Mercedes for life for me. | | | | | Fanatic
