This man was a sort of hero for me in my high school years and has remained one of my absolute favorite authors.

He sounds like an interesting character. I have not read any of his work though ....I'll keep him in mind

Check out Sirens of Titan, that is my all time favorite book.

James Clavell has always been my favourite author, with "Noble House" being my favourite book.

Lord of the Flies by william golding was another favorite of mine. And Player Piano also by Kurt Vonnegut.
