These two new images were acquired through 3rd party sources who received them from personnel within VW Brazil.

The photos clearly show the Voyage (Gol sedan) due this October and the Saveiro design studies.

In the Voyage shot you can also see the roofline of what could be VW's Ford EcoSport (small crossover) competitor for South America.

Volkswagen released the teaser for the new Gol Sedan (Voyage).



"Here it comes the new sedan from Volkswagen".

There is no official name for the sedan yet. But rumours are that will be called Voyage in reference to old the Voyage sold in Brazil from 1981 to 1995. North-Americans are familiar with the old Voyage:




Sold in North-America under the name of "Fox" from 1987 to 1993. It was a cheaper alternative to the Golf and Jetta.

Expect engine choices to be the same as the Gol hatchback. Which consists fo a 1.0 8V flexfuel which runs on petrol ethanol and a 1.6 8V flexfuel which also runs on petrol or ethanol.

The Gol Sedan or Voyage, will cheaper alternative to the current Polo Sedan sold in Brazil. Chances are the Gol might be sold in Europe under the Skoda name, as a rival for the Dacia Sandero. The Gol Sedan would be the rival for the Dacia Logan.

Congratulations to VW ....they have just cured my insomnia.

Now this is pretty interesting!

I hope the Gol variants come to Australia under either the VW or Skoda badges.

The Brazilian website "Noticias Automotivas" ("Automotive News") posted these pictures and it shows the rear-end of the saloon version nearly uncovered.



The tail lights of the Gol reminds of the Chinese Bora, without the circular shaped LED lights like the European VW models.



Looks better than a Dacia Logan, that's for sure.

The sedan version of the new Gol will be launched in September 25th.

The choice of engines should mirror that of the Gol hatchback, which means a base 1.0 8 valve fuel-flexible engine with power output of 72 Bhp or 76 Bhp depending of what fuel the engine will be running on. In which case the extra 4 Bhp are gained when the car is running on ethanol. Same goes for the flagship 1.6L 8 valve also fuel-flexible with power output of 100 Bhp (Petrol) and 104 Bhp (Ethanol).

No word of automatic gearbox and no word on the price yet, but it expected to be cheaper than the current Polo Saloon.
