This here is end of 80's/begin 90's and looks much much better.
Back in those days there weren't many minivans that were good-looking. The V-Class was one of the few that was IMO.

Nowadays you can't even look at it anymore but back in the day it was relatively elegant.

It doesn't really have to be. It's used as a transport or delivery van and the current Vito has been proven to be very reliable, so in effect it does its job ok. I doubt that the businesses buying the Vito really care about comfort or refinement.

The Viano on the other hand is the car that should be convincing. From my experience with it, it's not bad at all. The diesel engines are a bit loud in it and the 3.5 V6 version is totally pointless, but other than that, it's decent overall.

I don't know Chris I was looking at the V6 Executive edition the other day and it's a killer van. Black with those sport looking rims it is really a hot van - not to mention the V6 engine. I don't know if this is the exact same name of the van because I was looking for some pictures on the net and couldn't find any.

Well, I am claiming it is "pointless" from an average European point of view. A van isn't meant to be sporty or fast. The only redeeming quality this V6 Viano would have is that it refined. That's about it. In terms of keeping costs low, the diesels are much better suited, despite being a bit rough and loud.

You talking about this baby by the way?

Re: Mercedes Viano Facelift

Yes that is what I meant that is one killer van

And also I was thinking the 3.0 CDI V6 not the petrol one - now that is a win - win combination.

Re: Mercedes Viano Facelift

Also found this one on one of the used car market sites - but I don't think this is original MB this must be aftermarket

That's definitely not by Mercedes. Everything in that car is very Las Vegas, MB would lever expose a Samsung screen like that.

Wow, that one is stunning…and the front looks facelifted - like it is fitted with Xenons…
