Re: Mercedes Studie Concept BlueZero

That's the new B-class right there. Interesting location for the center console, it follows the recent trends of more ergonomic and driver orientated cockpits.

very true, they share alot of surface ideas

i would be interested in the cw value of the bluezero concept, because thats what the "box fish" concept was all about

After doing this PS just for fun I say there is definitely something Frech in the design.

Re: Mercedes Studie Concept BlueZero

Call me crazy, but I love it. It seems to be a "descendant" of the Bionic Concept Car Mercedes' introduced a few years ago. Certain elements of the design (and the lime green color) look like they were lifted off the Bionic Car and reshaped for this. I was also one of the few people to really like the Bionic Concept. Most folks spoke rudely about it because it looked "weird" but they never gave a second thought about why it was that way. The idea of modeling a car on the efficient natural dynamics of a fish is quite creative in my opinion (I'd like to see Lexus, in their "passionate pursuit of perfection" come up with an idea like that!).

The front is quite handsome in my opinion and so is the side view. The rear lights look pretty cool, almost as if they're growing out of the dark green metal trunk. Now that is a cool design in my opinion.

Re: Mercedes Studie Concept BlueZero

Here's another interior shot, from emercedesbenz. I like it, but I am usually quite fond of Mercedes concept and research vehicles...

The BlueZERO E-CELL is painted in Alu-Beam lime green, and the BlueZERO F-CELL is painted in Alu-Beam mint green. The interior introduces a mix of textiles and plastics with an innovative new form. The structure of the new materials and forms is supposed to remind of organic materials from nature. The BlueZERO E-CELL PLUS is painted in Alu-Beam bright orange.

Re: Mercedes Studie Concept BlueZero

This has no sense. I thought there won´t be any new B and A Class, and that Mercedes was going to make a new platform to unify both A, b and CLC cars in something more like the 1er.

Isn´t it?.

I don't believe that decision is final yet, hence this car could be developed further into a potential next-generation A- or B-Class. The A- and B-Classes are very popular cars in Europe not only because of their badge but also because they're variable, practical, efficient and have a good reputation for safety and quality (these cars marked the return of MB to quality). It would be unwise to abandon their concepts and create a completely different vehicle at the moment.
