It's a nice idea to think we could get a true, RWD MB on the cheap, but a bit utopian looking at things from a more pragmatic perspective. However, I think it would be an excellent move as this (a RWD, entry MB)would be more in line with brand values than what's currently on offer(A + B-class). As far as the collaboration with BMW for FWD vehicles? Why not leave that partnership with the Smart brand? Also, here in the U.S., there is more market potential for such a car as both BMW and Audi both have plans to offer entry level cars conceptualized to capture the entry level sector. Surely they don't want to miss an opportunity for further sales growth. |
