  | Re: Autobild: BMW X1 Yeah they're going to have a jillion models, nothing wrong with that from a consumer standpoint as long as they stay true to BMW's themes, but it could pose a problem when it comes time to redesign all of them. I bet automotive engineers get very little if any rest at all. There is always a model somewhere in the lineup that needs attention. M

| Re: Autobild: BMW X1 Sorry for late answer I was too busy doing rehersal with MINI Clubman. It is a mule and it is early stages of the four-wheel-drive platform for the next 1er and is bsically a patchwork of engineering using current 1er and 3er X-drive components - It's not really a working mule but more of an experiment of suspension mountings , floorplan alterations to see what can be accomplished - We will not see an X1 until the back of 2010. I think this 1er Coupe is Saltire or Montego Blue... |
