As long as BMW doesn't make a FWD A and/or B Klasse vehicle, in won't be in the same pot with MB. BMW are more focused and restricted in many way to were to go with the BMW brand. Potential vehicles were scrapped for severa reaosns, including not being BMW-ish enough (example, old turbo-charged, old AWD, FWD concepts/prototypes/pre-productions, X7 etc.).

True to a degree, but BMW will nearly be in the same pot as Mercedes if they try to explore every available niche like Mercedes has regardless as to whether or not they vehicles stay true blue to the BMW values. If BMW makes a R-Class competitor that theory about them staying true and being more focused will go right out the window because no minivanish type thing is going to be the "Ultimate Driving Machine". If you look X5 vs. ML, or vs. Touareg, Range Rover, Q7, XC90 or even Cayenne - it really is Ultimate driving machine. Same case X3 vs RAV4 vs LR Freelander etc. You should look within segment! ![]()
