How about M3 GTS (S for Street) ?

Either way, this car won't be a successor to the E46 M3 CSL, but as south pointed out, seems like a successor to the E46 M3 GT4. CSL seems like too much work for BMW and M division.

Should be exciting regardless of what drawn-out name they give it.

GTS could work, like on the Cayenne.

Whatever they decide to name it, this car could end up being seriously cool and if the GT3 is what it is aimed at we could end up with a great car. Remember, the CSL went up against the Ferrari 360CS and Porsche 996 GT3 and fared very well.

Woohoo... finally something interesting from BMW other a slew of crossovers and misplaced M cars.

Regarding the name... GT is fine, while "GT4 Street" sound like something from a video game or from some unimaginative tuner.
