AutoZeitung have the latest issue devoted to upcoming BMW models.
Such as the 6er Gran Turismo and the 3er Gran Turismo.
Like the 5er Gran Turismo. There will again be an emphasis on seperating the models from the core series models.

Which both should be about to start development quite soon.

If you look between the lines @ the IAA you would have seen great emphasis on the 328mm both in Roadster and Coupe format. (the Coupe was at the entrance). Of course the apperance of such cars were to indicate BMW's first foray into Lightweight materials a key plank of efficient dynamics. But they are also inspiration for the upcoming Z2 Twins - Lightweight and incredibly dynamic.

How accurate are these chops?



This 6er chop is bringing back horrid memories of the 3er-Ti cars. I HATED those.

That is NOT the 6er chop, take a look at the first pic again! It's a "kompakt BMW" whatever that is.

Wow...the front of the red one looks pretty good. Elegant yet sophisticated.

Considering this has the right parts from the Vision Concept from BMW that Scott and Eni talked about that the 6er will get, this "kompact" looks like a 6er chop. It sure as hell ain't the Z2 or the 3er.

This "kompakt" is the new Beemer to slot under the 1er, to compete with Audi A1.

I know what you're saying dude. What I'm saying is that the 6er they're saying doesn't have much of the Vision Concept in it, while the Kompact is more closer to what Scott and Eni were talking about when it comes to the 6er. That's all I'm saying.

Exactly, so we won´t se any more NA M-engines but I would be very happy with a lightweight z2 with the N52 B30, 272 hp.

So we have heard that there wont be any 6 cyl options, but it would be so nice.

I drive a turbo because of a very good lease deal. Saabs isn´t the best but even audis 4 cyl DI turbo can´t stand a chance compared to a NA straight six, IMO.
Sound and low end response being the most critical.

Scott, What 4 door Coupe will BMW finally produce? 6er GT or 7er GT?. How will look like the car they produce in the end? You mentioned that the fornt would be influenced by the VED Concept.
