![]() ![]() | Yes. I know Scott originally wrote that. But now you brought it back up again I suddenly had a brain wave and tried to decifer what he was talking about (we all know how Scott likes his cryptic messages), and I thought, 360, that actually means a complete turn but you ultimately end up back where you started. So 380 is ALMOST back where you started.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | BMW M1 Could Be Revived for 2012 ![]() The BMW M1 could be reincarnated in 2012, this time around as a futuristic 2+2 coupe based on the swoopy Vision EfficientDynamics concept from the recent 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. According to Britain's Auto Express, the neo-M1 would feature a high-performance hybrid powertrain similar to the one showcased in the Vision EfficientDynamics concept, indicating that BMW is more interested in taking an environmentally sensitive stance with its efficient new supercar, rather than simply going head-to-head with the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The powertrain will bundle a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with an electric motor, a combination which in production trim should deliver more than 350 horsepower and nearly 600 pound-feet of torque. Mated to a dual-clutch gearbox, the hybrid system will propel the future M1 from zero to 60 in less than 5 seconds. Top speed will be electronically governed to 155 mph, while fuel economy is projected to be class-leading. Other production features adapted from the concept include an ultralow ride height, active aerodynamics, aggressive styling and cutting-edge technology. The new M1 is anticipated to target the Audi R8, suggesting a sticker price of more than $115,000. ![]() - http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...cleId=158087#4

![]() | sh!t i hope this is true... it really is time for a bmw supercar! but ia 350 horsepower enough to be a supercar..? And if BMW really thinks that they do not need an exotic sports car to keep their image up, well, i mean MB does not "need" the SLR, does anyone think about the SLR when they buy a E class or something? Or do you think R8 when you buy yourself an A3 or whatever? But, when I look at the R8 and SLR and Ferraris and Lambos and Astons, I'll think, where is the BMW? If this isn't hurting the brand then what is? Realistic thing is that an exotic sports car will not help sales of other cars, because I don't believe the presence of an exotic sports car is related to sales of other models. But, if BMW makes such a sports car now not in the shape of a rather "different" Z8, why wouldn't it sell at least as well as the R8 etc?
