Good thing is that BMW will not abuse the CSL badge, like offer a CSL for every model, so that's good news.. Bad thing is it seems BMW isn't willing to do anything more than what they have to to earn maximum profits by just building cars that sell in high volume. With the "current" line up, i mean, what is BMW's sportiest car? Mercedes there is a SLR, Audi an R8, and there is NO commitment from BMW. Come on, what is the BMW brand about afterall? X5 and 5series GT? hell no! just start building buses if that's the case. I mean even if it's not a very profitable project to build some exotic sports cars, they should make a good one, an excellent one "for the sake of it". It's like they went into F1 just for the sake of it, it's negative NPV for sure, you don't get that much advertisement effect for being in midfield.
I hope the CSL will be revived by the 1series actually, the E90/92 is kinda too big and fat for "CSL" anyway imo. my last hope. i still love bmws, but I'd say the "golden age" has past for now, it lacks the spirit it has before.

That could actually be something worth buying, I'm more of a 1-series type of guy...

Quite ironic that the most "M" car in years will not get an M bagde
