![]() | Re: BMW X1 or BMW V3 crossover? I´d say its neither one, but rather the upcoming F5 (or whatever its name will be). The pictures in the F5 thread here on GCZ look too similar to be a different car. In addition I think its still too early for a "real" V3 to hit the roads. There may be a few mules on thair way, but no finished car. Yet I wish it were the next V3 so that they could release it earlier (than 2012 or so )...![]() Concerning the X1: The shape is way different to the X1 spyshots (overall-shape, proportions etc.) |

This is the PAS (V3, F5, Y5 or whatever will be called now), of course. http://www.germancarzone.com/256957-post220.html ![]() X1 is different ... check the X1 spy pics in the X1 spy pic thread. V3, F3 PAC is not in such advanced development phase yet - not in the streets yet. |

So will be the "small PAS" or PAC". PAS/PAC-series (Y-series most likely) will have its own specific styling characteristics. Just like X-series, and the Z-series are the series on their own - with family specific styling. But the specific design cues will be similar as seen also on other BMWs - to fit into BMW model line perfectly. Different but similar. ![]() |

Seems a little strange that the 'coupe-wagon' version of the 5er will be launched ahead of the new 5er sedan. From the looks of it, it seems like the F5 will just be a 5er wagon with an X6-like rear end and have a bit of a higher ride-height than the 5er. Seems a bit silly having this as well as a 5er wagon... ..but then again, the more variants, the more choices for consumers which leads an increased sense of individuality.... and of course, the low cost of producing a bunch of models off the same platform provide enough reasoning as to why an F5 PAS is being developed.
