![]() The fact that this concept is already a few years old when it was penned, this is crazy stuff!! Amazing to say the least. The vision that BMW possess is incredible. Unlike many company's who only have vision in one aspect (eg: fuel efficiency) BMW has such forward-looking vision in efficiency, design/styling, engineering and manufacturing. This is why I'm a BMW enthusiast..not just their vehicles, but how the company operates. ![]()

Gotta say I love the H2R inspiration for the hood of the car, especially how it buldges in the middle and then drops-off towards the front of the car creating a very aerodynamic and aggressive stance. Also, the new 3D inverted kidneys looks very very impressive, ...so aggressive, but still keeps the traditional kidney shape within. This 3D inverted kidney grille would have looks awesome on the new X5 and X6 had BMW been brave enough to do so..but nonetheless, it's very interesting to see that CS preview BMW's wide-and-round kidney look for their more core and luxury focused models, and then to showcase this new 3D inverted kidneys for their more sports-focused vehicles such as the upcoming Z-series of vehicles.

![]() | Re: Official: BMW GINA Light Vision So that perfectly explains the old ugly interior of the GINA Concept car.....just as I showed in my pictures a few pages back. The design of the interior of GINA is EXTREMELY dated for BMW, they would never do that again. Concept CS is the new interior idea. Gina is from the early Bangle years.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Official: BMW GINA Light Vision Why Now? Well what you have to realise that after a BMW model is introduced , The design department then get to work on the next one, that is why you see some simultaneous developments here on the next Z4 . the wheels you see here on the Concept will also be available for the next Z4 although not in this size. But the proportions from the rear showcase the tautness and width of the next car. In which with the current car without 18" wheels the body looks top heavy. As for the format of GINA it is not too far into the future as you think. One of the most interesting developments of this idea is how BMW's engineers have developed : BMW Activeaerodynamik - Moveable body panels that can create more or less flow over a car ( This is more than just a spoiler that adjusts to speed) But Body panels that can adjust to improve downforce and improve efficiency. GINA is the teaser , eventually you will see something further down the line that takes the idea to the feasible. It is not a question of If BMW do a supercar but when - But It is not going to be anytime soon but it will not be as you expect. Which is what myself and Eni have been saying all along. BMW are not like any other Car company. |
