Re: BMW Gina Light Concept

As said before ... check my posts in CS concept & future BMW models / design threads (!):

BMW will preview another design study - the other pole of the design line. CS was the luxury pole, the other study will be the sporty pole: previewing the new Z8 - a large 2-seater roadster.

And as said many times: check California Spyder Concept + H2R Concept for the idea where the study is going.

Of course the study will showcase lightweight solutions, and enhanced EfficienDynamics solutions. The new super-coupe will be based on the new Z8. Lightweight solutions will follow solutions of Z29 concept by BMW Technik GmbH.

People, Scott & I have already told you everything. Read, and memorize.
I can't help if most of you forgot what had already been written.

Btw, I expected this study would be presented in one of the Chinese or Japanese autoshows this year, but this June 10th date is a suprise to me as well. But I guess BMW want to make a spectacle at the BMW Museum re-opening.

Glad BMW are showcasing more concepts lately, looks like a targa style roof which looks awesome.

Re: BMW Gina Light Concept

Look spromising indeed, five days to go and we will know. Looks like a very agressively styled roadster. Maybe a study of what a Z9 might look like as already mentioned, maybe some styling elements are shown for the new Z4 to?

Indeed.
It's BMW California Spyder Concept by BMW DesignWorksUSA.

DWUSA got a task to pen a luxury roadster / spyder. And CSC is the result, and the sketches were presented at LA autoshow 2 years ago.

This Concept is just an update of the same idea, materialized - not just existing on a sketch.

This concept pretty much confirms that BMW has an R8/997TT/SL63 fighter up their sleeves.

Re: BMW Gina Light Concept

Having just spent a few weeks on this new baby's marketing approach especially on the Salt Flats in Utah , BMW's test tracks and Night shoots within the BMW Welt and the new Museum.

Here it is . What myself and Eni have been discussing regarding this segment. Low emissions . lightweight etc... I hope you like it it is purely stunning ... CS was the beginning , M1 Hommage was how to reinvent history , This is the future.
First we show the top end model which this will become a production car and we will also show a concept based on the introductory Z model . The reinvention of the Z car begins with the Z4 , The concept and purpose is to establish The Z models as pure bred sports cars , technology and dynamics will show the direction BMW are now taking with these models.
The Z range has been Funky but now the dynamics will match the looks.
The new Z4 heralds an exciting return to BMW sports cars , and future models will be equally satisfying , M-Division will be indeed the "pinacle" of the entire "Efficient Dynamics" programme.

The future of the BMW Sports car is about to become very exciting indeed
